Project 1: Characteristics identification, influencing factors of rural shrinkage in Xiantao city

Outstanding Master Degree Thesis(GPA:90/100)

  • Employed field surveys to establish a village database comprising 606 villages. Identified shrinking villages from both the population and spatial perspectives and recognized typical areas with similar shrinkage features.
  • Constructed a combined quantitative and qualitative analytical framework, and categorized causal types of shrinkage in these typical areas. Explored the planning strategies for different villages by referring to their types.

Project 2: Territorial space planning compilation, approval system, and implementation mechanism in Ezhou city

  • Reviewed the evolution of the planning permission system since the founding of the PRC; Concluded the staged difficulties of China’s planning permission system; Proposed the reform path of it under the land use approval decentralization.
  • Analyzed the predicament from the compilation system, inspection and approval system, and authoritative powers of offices. Summarized the practical experience and proposed the reform path of Ezhou’s territorial spatial planning approval system.

Project 3: Spatial pattern, spatial correlation, and guidance strategy of low-carbon industry in Wuhan

Independent Research /Jan. 2020 – Jun. 2022

  • Obtained the enterprise data of the Wuhan low-carbon industry in 2002, 2010, and 2018 by defining the industrial categories of the low-carbon industry. Cleaned the data of low-carbon enterprises and established a low-carbon industrial database.
  • Used kernel density estimation and negative binomial regression to explore the evolution characteristics and spatial distribution. Analyzed the location influence factors of location by using the negative binomial regression model.

Project 4: Thematic research on target positioning and strategic development in Xiantao city

  • Coordinated the task allocation among the project team members. Analyzed and identified the development background of Xiantao; Analyzed the problems in population and economic and industrial development.
  • Established regional linkage strategy and proposed the strategic path of ecological space, agricultural space, urban space, and urban-rural integration to provide a strategic decision-making basis for the development of territorial space.

Project 5: Evaluation, prediction, and optimization of the spatial distribution of EV charging stations in Wuhan

National undergraduate student innovation and entrepreneurship training program

  • Crawled the location data of EV charging stations in Wuhan by Python, from the Baidu map. Established an innovative quantitative measurement index system for the supply and demand of EV charging stations. Constructed a spatial distribution supply and demand matching evaluation model, and evaluated by the location quotient(LQ) method.
  • Predicted and drew the distribution scheme of EV charging stations under different scenarios, by GM(1,1) grey prediction model and scenario planning method. Combined with genetic algorithm(GA) and GIS to optimize the distribution.
